About Endocrinology
The Department of Diabetology and Endocrinology provides collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team comprising of Endocrinologists, dieticians, nutritionists, diabetologists, certified diabetes educators, ophthalmologists, which is capable of managing cases related to endocrinological disorders.
The diseases of the thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, and other such glands are dealt with quite efficiently. In addition, special care is offered to the patients suffering from thyroid disease and thyroid cancers.
Department of Endocrinology also focuses on imparting training, and teaching the best practices of care for the patients approaching all the sub-specialties of Endocrinology. The multidisciplinary team evaluates the patients with disorders of the hypothalamus and pituitary glands including acromegaly, prolactinomas, Cushing’s disease, pituitary tumours, hypopituitarism and several other disorders of the endocrine system.
